Installation is to be as per the jet fire exposure tests performed on a Tubular Section (Hp/A = 85/m)Specimen, fitted with a "ContraFlex" flexible fire resistant insulation jacket. After 60 minutes and 120 minutes, the integrity was maintained as required and designed, and the classification of J60 and J120 respectively achieved., Starting from the outer surface the jacket consisted of: , – a silicone coated class cloth; stainless steel (SS) mesh; , – a first layer of 25 mm thickness of Alkaline Earth Silicate (AES) wool; , – a first thin layer of aluminum foil; a second layer of 25 mm thickness of AES wool; , – a second thin layer of aluminum foil; a third layer of 25 mm thickness of AES wool; , – a third thin layer of aluminum foil and a final layer of silicone coated glass cloth. , The jacket was then compressed to an overall thickness of 61mm., Suitable approved insulation is to be applied to any other part of the protected fire exposed surface not covered by the jacket, in all cases. Attention is to be paid to means of securing jacket boundaries and the prevention of heat bridging: an overlap of at least 150mm should be provided between two systems.,
